3s Back On Track
A splendid mixture of youth & veterans combined to see off a spirited Farnham 3rd XV, out scoring them by 4 tries to 2.
Match Report from Drew:
Cranleigh Dev vs Farnham III
Saturday 30th Jan saw a combined side of Terson’s Development side bolstered by Drew’s II’s take on Farnham III’s. Following the recent poor weather, the conditions were moore than suitable for soon to be Grandad, Nigel Moore to step up to the plate in the front row. The team were also bolstered by Will Stacey at 8, Bowers and the mighty Toby Eves.
Given the lateness of the report I shall keep it as brief as Nigel’s characteristic shorts. The Cranleigh pack dismantled the oppo (under the guidance of scrum half specialist Drew) and the first try came Cranleigh’s way when Nigel Moore joined the back line and stepped the Farnham fullback to score under the posts.
The other remaining theme to the game was Stacey surging through for two tries (one a 50 yard surge shrugging off tackles and the other a 0.5m dive from a ruck) whilst doing a great job up front with Bowers et al, accompanied by Mini Moz who seemed to have fifteen run ins with fifteen Farnham players. Good man. For some reason sand and pants comes to mind.
